In all heartache, when we fix our eyes upon Jesus, all the things of the Earth grow strangely dim..... - my friends, that's the truth and nothing but the truth!!!
This morning, my children had a bit of a rough start of the day.....due to their father returning home and us being our lonesome 3some again - mind you, it's not that lonesome, when we have settled into our routine, but after he was here for two weeks, that takes us sometime, to readjust.
This morning, when both my children struggled with the fact, that he has left again, and my son was being very down and somewhat depressed, I tried to explain to them, that life sometimes is not fair and easy, but that when we give all our fears and pain to God, He will turn it around for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
In order to make them see the truth of this, I shared with them, how painful life is even for me sometimes, but that I chose to trust in Jesus, and whenever sadness and pain arises, I choose to give it to God, and keep walking in Faith - not by sight. That He will do as He promises and change everything around for good for me and my children. I have had proof of that on more than one occasion.....so I shared some of these stories with them - hoping that I got through to their hearts, and that they in turn will learn to turn their pain and sorrow over to the One, who gave His life for them.
Leading by example and by opening my heart to them - I know, that the word of God will not return void, but will bring forth the fruit that He has intended for it.
Last night I slept really early, for I had been up for a long time the day before......yet, I woke up at around 11:30 pm, being wide awake, I read a beautiful book 'His Love Endures Forever' and as it stands with most of the books I read these days, they contain aspects of my own journey - just like 'The Bridge' - Karen Kingsbury's latest novel.....and I find myself often shedding tears, as I read these books or when I read my bible...... - yet I find healing in these pages as well. God never fails to amaze me, how He can reach into my heart and replace past hurts with a hope for the future.
We cannot change the Past, but we can change our attitude regarding our past, and we can learn from it and choose to not be defeated, but to allow the pain and grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and then believe for the plan God holds for our future - that it truly is a plan to prosper us and not to harm us - a plan to give us a Hope and a Future.
Whenever I encounter a situation, that has the potential to trip me over and become resentful or bitter, I choose to fix my eyes upon Jesus and then, it's true: The things of the Earth grow strangely dim and I can rejoice in the Love that I receive from Jesus, and the love I find in my heart for Him - despite or maybe even because of the circumstances I live in.
My prayer is for you, to experience the same - God is bigger than any of your problems!!! He can turn it around for the good of you - if you just let Him take over the reins of your life. You will see, the picture He is painting of your life, will turn out to be the Masterpiece, He created you to be!!!
